Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian TV presenter and actress. She is best known for her role as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into showbiz early and landed up acting in lead roles on various shows on television by the time she reached the age of 16. In the Oscar-nominated film Downfall the role she played as the Secretary Traudljunge of Adolf Hitler was also critically acclaimed. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra was involved in many notable projects, both nationally and internationally. These include British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historical mini-series Napoleon and many more. The actress also served on the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
